“For both of us, Fleur is a doorway that we both visualised to express our connection to Earth, to each other, and our own healing processes.”~ Serena & Sebbe
This sums up how Art & Poetry of Sands came about. It was a few days before Beltane when Sebbe & I first connected- a long & deep conversation about life, love and disappointment bonded us immediately as though we had always known each other. It was, for me, as though I was talking to a life-long friend. Later, this new status would evolve to SOULMATE. Our divine connection now means the world to me- he is my creative muse, my emotional support, my best friend and the one that makes me laugh until my jaw hurts.
art and poetry of sands…..OF S AND S
I will soon be listing our work in my Etsy shop- as Art prints and Greetings Cards initially.
This series of Blogs will talk about my products one-by-one- giving you a deep insight into what ingredients I use, why I use them, and what they do for your skin and mood.
Geranium & Bergamot’s base recipe contains Organic Oils of Coconut, Safflower, Jojoba, Sunflower and Rose hip which are known to offer long-lasting holistic health benefits including skin cell repair, wrinkle reduction, easing of inflammations & irritations, deep hydration and the removal of toxins.
The Essential Oil fusion deeply hydrates dry skin while refreshing, toning and encouraging elasticity. Bergamot is renowned for increasing blood circulation to the skin and Geranium is known for easing the signs of wrinkles and ageing. Lavender is very widely used for the skin as it is thought to quickly heal skin issues such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, cold sores and blemishes. Other essential oils are used for their anti-septic properties which prevent bacteria build-up that causes infections. Vanilla and Frankincense are proven to have properties that work to prevent further damage to the skin.
This cream is especially effective for use at night as it contains a unique blend of essential oils that I call ‘mood food’. As you can see in the informative product description below, the essential oils used in this cream are known to help balance the emotion, ease stress and tension, and soothe the senses. Perfect to apply before bed! I would describe the aroma as ‘comfortingly floral with a hint of clean citrus’.
This fusion has been created after many months of my research into the aroma therapeutic qualities of essential oils and how they can help us to relax, induce feelings of happiness, calm anxiety and even energise our minds. Those are only a few natural mood enhancements we can enjoy! My range reflects a variety of these mood enhancing qualities and I will be posting more blogs covering my whole range, so please subscribe and get my latest blogs as they are posted.
Here is a review I received yesterday:
“I would like to recommend the geranium and bergamot night cream. It has a beautiful scent and makes your skin feel energised, fresh and healthy. It also gives a healthy balance to my skin which is beginning to need that extra care due to the inevitable aging process. The fact that all this comes naturally and ethically is essential for me.”
Please click here to take you to the product page on my Eveksia Website where you can find out more about Geranium & Bergamot Night Cream and purchase a jar directly. Samples of each product are available too- a 15ml Jar for £3 + P&P. Please email me on email@example.com for details.
Also feel free to browse the rest of my range! Thank you and Bright Blessings~ Serena
I know I said everything was cool. In many many ways, it so is, but why is my heart finding it hard to resist you? As soon as you walk towards me and smile, my soul starts flying. You always hug me, but I always try and hold on to you for a little longer than you do. We are always in crowded places; lately pubs and the festival hall, or at work. I’d like to hug you and just rest there for some minutes, REALLY feeling my heart next to yours. Those eyes of yours are like amazing shiny stars, but at the same time they are the bottomless ocean where I drown and come alive simultaneously. Let me be there for a while too. It feels like my home.
I want you to open up to me, not only about your fears, frustrations, ideas and passions, but I want to see your playful child, the one that can freely express joy and fun without your reluctance to be vulnerable. I’d like to make you laugh until you cry. That’s what you deserve my love, you deserve freedom to be you.
I want us to cook a meal together and for you to feed me like you did today. (I almost cried when you offered me a fork of that sweet delight, but you probably didn’t realise why I refused it at first. It was just a beautiful gesture, but I couldn’t take it). Then, after we’ve eaten and had some wine, we can just relax…lay down on the sofa if you like and appreciate how our love of food make us feel comfort and security. We don’t even have to talk. I want to look after you and you to look after me, as we do now but on a more profound yet simple level. If you’re happy and content, then so will I be.
You told me you don’t want intimacy. But wouldn’t it be beautiful to see our fingers entwined? You have got such lovely hands, I always look at hands and yours are just perfect. I know they would fit mine like a glove. Please, just hold my hand one day soon. The thought of anything sexual with you is such a mind blowing concept to me even though I feel that we would be connected again in our inexplicable way that begins with the soul, engulfs my heart and my body too. You are frightened of me, aren’t you? You are insecure, but my god, you don’t realise that far from taking you over in any way, I will be liquid in your hands. I would never be forceful, we would never be just having sex. No, it would encompass everything I am and all the unconditional love I have for you. Being one body as we are one soul would turn me into us. If you’re not ready for that, I respect and understand always. But please, before you leave, touch my cheek with that soft hand of yours and kiss me! I long for this to happen. You have no idea how much I need to feel your lips.
There is nothing more beautiful than you and my dreams of me and you.
“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” ~George Bernard Shaw
I am often told that I am childish. Apparently my sense of humour is beyond immature. But I don’t care! I have enough ‘maturity’ to deal with on a day to day basis with worry about money, job, ticking biological clock, fiance’s depression, the planet about to implode on itself, animal cruelty, rain, whether my art is good enough to sell, I’m overweight, I need a holiday………..oh but I digress!!! As you can see the list of potential worry is endless…so why not indulge in a little bit of juvenile jollies? Ever played the silly word game? Not only is it frickin funny (if you’ve got a childish sense of humour), but it exercises your weird flappy bit in your brain that doesn’t get used that often. I don’t know its ‘proper’ biological, mature name, so that name will do for me. The create bit….the one that stirs up weird and wonderful thoughts and encourages one to ‘think outside the box’. You know…did Monty Python make sense? Nope. Were they mature and sensible? NO. Did you laugh insanely at them and feel loads better after? YEP. Enough said.
You’re just a pocket size bicycle turnip.
Ok, but if you’re actually not one to go out in public and yell things like ‘Automative penis picker’ in a very loud voice for entertainment, you could try some of these things.
(If at this point you have decided to ‘un’follow my blog…so long and farewell…!!)
They have this amazing energy….they are innocent. Innocence means they have not yet got the burden of ‘normality’ and ‘appropriate behaviour’ on their shoulders. Ok, so we don’t have to be inappropriate to have a laugh (see above suggestion to yell ‘penis’ in a public place. Sorry, I don’t really do things like that!) but a little inappropriateness in a place with no impressionable ears, is a GOOD thing!
I loved that on the film ‘The Yes Man‘ with Jim Carrey. They just flew anywhere where the first flight was going to. Turn up at the airport, go to the first ticket desk and go ‘Where is the next flight going, please? Himsfordingworth? Ok let’s go. (Now I am making up silly names for places. So childish!) Imagine, though? What you would see…(or not, but it would be exciting not knowing!)
I love to put a huge piece of paper on the floor, squidge lots of different colours out and just…..well…..do things. I use brushes, bits of wood, scraps of paper, paint my cat’s paws and make her walk over it (no, not really), even walk on it or sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiide! It is really a lot of fun, and sometimes it will turn into something…..hang it on your wall and tell visitors to your house that it’s by a new up and coming artist called Steve shlongdivisionmap. Have fun with all these childish made up names as well!
Do that thing with paint, but with loads of friends. Either that or do some ‘Hideous Baking’. See who can bake the most disgustingly horrific tasting cake. Or biscuits. Or spaghetti Bolognese!
Get up like, 2 hours earlier than normal and work out the longest possible route to work, or wherever your boring every day routine commands you go. Well, I don’t mean get on a plane and go via Mongolia or anything, but keep it within the time limit. (Mature people are NEVER late for work! Shocking!) Take a totally different route and see what is around you that you haven’t see before. I bet you see loads of cool places. I once found an amazing OVERGROWN, FORGOTTEN graveyard! Oh the bliss! Trouble was, I got lost trying to find my way to work after that and I was so late…oh no….irresponsible! I couldn’t find it again either, ( the graveyard, not my work place unfortunately) so a map would help. Teehee.
Lastly, I am really not childish. Most of the time anyway. Just on mornings like this, when it’s teeming with rain and cold…I’ve got lots of responsible chores to do like job searching and… job searching…I think, NO. Life is for laughing and exercising your flappy brain bits.
How do you keep the child alive????
I am in the process of doing a lot of research into a variety of subjects around Natural Therapies, Holistic Treatments and the use of Amulets and Talismans.
I am fascinated by fusing these ancient practices with my art and craft making, to create pieces with meaning and real healing properties. Not just pretty pictures or cards to put on the mantel. Pieces that use colour to uplift your mood or aromas to relax your body of stress. Jewellery that works with the body and mind to offer protection, encourage creativity or aid a restful night.
I want to get back to the connection we once had with Nature and all that Mother Earth offers and at the same time show gratitude for this by using environmentally friendly materials and recycled metals.
I have already written pages on the subjects of Angels, Goddesses and Spirit Guides and Colour Therapy. There will always be more to add, but so far I have researched the basics. Please use the following links to see these pages:
